Dr. Michael Grisanti began teaching at The Master’s Seminary in 1995. He is the Old Testament department chair, distinguished research professor of Old Testament, and director of the annual Israel study trip. After attending Central Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was influenced by godly men such as Douglas McLachlan, he received his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary under tutelage of Eugene Merrill and Robert Chisholm. Dr. Grisanti wrote his dissertation on Isaiah 40-55, and from that intensive study, he developed a passion for biblical geography and history.
Dr. Grisanti was raised by godly parents who helped him understand the gospel at a young age. At fourteen years old, Dr. Grisanti committed to serving God in vocational ministry. He was originally focused on overseas mission, but God redirected him to train those who would go across the globe.
Dr. Grisanti and his wife have been married since 1980. They have eight children—Michael, Mark, Trisanna, David, Jonathan, Joshua, Caleb, and Theresa—and five grandchildren.
